We have an experience for every stage of your life! With us you can work and travel with Work and Travel, grow professionally with Intern and Trainee, learn a language with Study Abroad or live a different summer with Summer Camp. Explore our programs and, if you still don't know which one to choose, tell us what you would like to experience. We help you find the ideal one for you!
Your adventure begins with a first step! Complete Start your program, choose the experience that interests you and tell us a little about yourself. We will guide you on how to continue.
In Lima you can find us at Calle Libertad 176, Miraflores. In Arequipa, on Calle César Vallejo 300A, Yanahuara. In Visit us you will find the links to get there.
Visit us Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.! Our team is available during these hours to answer your questions and help you take the next step.
You can find the costs for your chosen program in the program fees section. If you have questions, we can go through them with you! Intern and Trainee fees depend on the program length. For Study Abroad, you will receive a quote based on your destination, course, duration and accommodation.
Sure! You don't need to have everything decided. Write us at contact form, select General inquiry and tell us what you would like to experience. We help you explore your options.
Yes, you can request a reevaluation by writing to us at info@gowexint.com. Its cost is 50% of what you paid for your first evaluation.
The admission team will review availability and timing of the season to coordinate with you. Your advisor will confirm the amount and payment instructions before scheduling it.
A new interview does not guarantee a different result. Take advantage of feedback to reinforce what you need to improve. We want you to arrive better prepared for this new opportunity!
Request an extension from your advisor at least two weeks before the due date. Explain your situation and when you could make the payment so we can assess your request.
The extension requires approval: requesting it does not automatically change your payment date. If an unforeseen event arises when there is less time, notify us immediately.
Keep in mind that a change in your schedule may delay the process or affect access to opportunities that depend on your payments and available spaces.
You have a maximum of 15 business days from when you receive your Welcome Package, unless your advisor indicates a shorter deadline due to the progress of the season or a deadline from the employer or sponsor.
Check the package as soon as you receive it and send complete, legible documents with correct information. If you anticipate a difficulty, please let us know before the deadline so we can guide you.
Delivering everything on time will help you advance without delays in the next stages.
Yes! You can register without a passport or while you process your renewal, but you must have it ready and current before your employer stage begins.
The ideal is to have it from registration. If you reach out to employers without the document, you will not be able to advance and your process will be delayed, which can affect the opportunities available to you.
Start the process as soon as possible and keep your advisor informed. Also check that its validity meets what is required for your travel dates and your case.
If you miss the initial briefing, you must attend an upcoming session before entering the program, because it is a mandatory admission requirement. Write to us to find out the next available date.
Sessions are recorded and shared with attendees so they can review the information. These recordings do not replace attendance.
If you are already a participant and cannot attend a mandatory talk, such as Pre-Departure, justify the reason in advance to your advisor. She will tell you how to catch up. These activities are important for your preparation, so organize your agenda to participate.
Yes, you can register together! If you want to work with the same employer, tell us from the beginning to review options compatible with your profiles.
Each person goes through their own selection process. Matching will depend on vacancies, available dates, English level, position requirements and the employer's decision.
We cannot guarantee that you will travel on the same dates, work in the same place or share accommodation, but we will guide you on the available possibilities. Come with your preferences clear and also open to new opportunities!
It is possible, but is not guaranteed. The financial result depends on your remuneration, hours worked and your expenses for accommodation, food, transportation, taxes and personal travel.
Work and Travel is a cultural exchange program that allows you to practice English, meet people, gain independence and gain work experience. Temporary employment is part of that experience, but it does not guarantee profits or recovery of the investment.
Review your full budget and the recommended spending money before deciding. Avoid relying on overtime or a second job to cover essential expenses. We will help you understand the costs so you travel with realistic expectations.
Interviews are generally conducted between April and November.
Your interview will be coordinated within the selection process of each employer, according to the vacancies, your profile, your available dates and your progress in the program.
Your advisor will let you know when it is time to move forward and how to prepare. Not all participants or all employers have the same interview dates.
You can review them when the employer fair opens, between May to June.
This access is available with the Go Job Arranged and requires that your process be ready for the employers stage. We'll tell you how to enter, review offers, and communicate your preferences.
The web map shows destinations and references from previous seasons. The vacancies available for your call are confirmed during your process.
You will be able to access new interviews at no extra cost, as long as there are employers and vacancies compatible with your profile and enough time within the season.
First we prioritize that all participants have a first interview. Once that priority is met, we coordinate additional opportunities based on availability.
There is no fixed limit of interviews. We will review with you what you can improve and what alternatives exist. A first interview without hiring can also help you better prepare for the next one!
No, the cost of accommodation is not included in the program fee. Some employers offer housing or help coordinate it; In other cases you will have to look for an option.
Just because the employer offers accommodation does not mean it is free. Review the rent, deposit, included utilities, location, and transportation to work before you commit.
If you need to search on your own, you must actively participate in the search and coordinate the requirements with your sponsor. Go Wex will guide you and the sponsor will also provide you with support in the corresponding aspects of accommodation and transportation. Check the conditions before booking or making a payment.
Yes, you can indicate your preferences among the available opportunities, but placement will depend on your profile, available positions and the employer's selection.
In Go Job Arranged you will review offers compatible with your level of English and your dates. We will guide you about the functions and conditions so that you can choose with clear information.
Interview access also considers process criteria, including payment priority order where applicable. Indicating a preference does not reserve a position.
If you already have your own job offer or would like to return to a previous employer, ask about Go Self Arranged or Go Returnee, which have a different process.
As a reference, work is carried out approximately between 32 and 40 hours per week. However, that amount is not guaranteed: hours may vary depending on the employer, demand, weather and the time of the season. Overtime is not guaranteed either.
Before accepting, review the hours provided in your job offer and organize your budget without depending on additional shifts.
If during the program you receive considerably fewer hours than those indicated in your offer, notify the employer and your sponsor so that they can review the situation and guide you.
Not necessarily. There are positions that do not require previous experience, while others do require certain skills, experience or a specific level of English.
If you have already worked, tell it in your interview: it can help you demonstrate responsibility, customer service or teamwork.
If it will be your first work experience, focus on your skills, your willingness to learn, and your interest in the position. The important thing is to find an opportunity compatible with your profile and prepare well for the interview!
Contact your sponsor and your Go Wex advisor as soon as possible. Explain the reason so they can guide you through your departure, communication with the employer, and steps related to your program and accommodation.
An early return may affect the dates of your participation and the economic conditions you have accepted. Also check what your end date would look like and if any grace period applies.
If it is an emergency, prioritize your safety and keep your sponsor informed as soon as you can.
We work with partner employers at hotels, resorts, restaurants, shops, ski resorts and amusement parks offering positions in customer service, sales, cleaning, kitchen support, food and beverage service and operations assistance. Available opportunities vary by season.
Each position has its own requirements for English, experience, hours and physical effort. Before choosing, review the functions and conditions of the offer. Your advisor will help you identify options that fit your profile.
Yes, as long as your sponsor reviews and authorizes it before you start, and that you can fulfill your main job.
Send the data and documents requested and wait for confirmation. Having an additional offer does not mean that you are already authorized to work; Starting without approval may affect your participation in the program.
Also consider transportation, your schedules and your rest. A second job is a possibility, but you should not count on that income as if it were assured.
No. During the Grace Period you are not allowed to work, even if your employer wants to give you more shifts.
It is a period of up to 30 days after successfully completing the program to prepare your departure and carry out tourist activities within the United States. It does not extend your contract or your authorized work dates.
Review your plans with the sponsor. If your participation ends due to a breach, you should not assume that you have that period.
No. Interviews are coordinated with one employer at a time, according to your profile and available spaces. Your preferences guide the search, but do not represent confirmed interviews with each employer.
If you are selected and accept the offer, you continue your process with that employer. If you are not selected, we will review other opportunities based on availability and seasonal priorities.
Before indicating your preferences, carefully review the functions and conditions of each position.
There is no fixed interview limit and additional opportunities have no extra cost.
We can coordinate new interviews as long as there are employers and vacancies compatible with your profile. First we prioritize that all season participants have a first interview; Additional opportunities are then reviewed.
The quantity will depend on availability and the remaining time of the season. Your advisor will explain the alternatives and guide you so that you arrive better prepared for each opportunity.
Once you sign your job offer (GOL), your position and the employer with whom you will participate in the program are defined. A change before the trip solely due to personal preference is not applicable.
Therefore, before accepting it, calmly review the functions, remuneration, dates and accommodation conditions. If you have any questions, ask your advisor! We want you to make an informed decision and be prepared to make that commitment.
Change requests due to exceptional circumstances may be evaluated and will require prior approval from the sponsor, in accordance with the conditions of the program and the availability of other positions. Requesting a change does not guarantee that it will be approved.
Go Wex coordinates your application with the sponsor assigned to your job offer, profile and program option. Your advisor will tell you which sponsor it is and how to complete its application.
The sponsor is an organization authorized by the U.S. Department of State. It assesses your eligibility and, if it approves your participation, issues your DS-2019. It will also be an important contact during your stay for program-related matters.
We support you through the process; the sponsor makes the final assessment and approval.
Yes. The sponsor may reject your application if you do not meet their eligibility, English, documentation or deadline requirements.
The sponsor may also reject an application if it finds inconsistent, false or altered information. Being selected by an employer does not replace this assessment.
Review each document, answer honestly and ask any questions before sending it. If you detect an error, let us know as soon as possible so we can guide you on how to correct it.
You could have a new chance, but it depends on the authorization of the sponsor. It is not guaranteed.
Your advisor will review the results and instructions received with you. If the sponsor allows another interview, we will guide you on the aspects you need to reinforce and how to prepare.
If it is not possible to continue, we will explain what it means for your process and what program conditions apply to you.
You will receive it when the sponsor has approved your file and the requirements to issue it have been met. There is no single date for all participants.
The moment depends on the calendar of your season, the sponsor and the progress of your documentation. Your advisor will notify you when it is available and will indicate the next steps.
Keep your documents and requirements up to date to avoid delays that depend on your process.
When your advisor tells you that it is appropriate to move forward, after obtaining and validating your job offer according to your program option.
We will explain how to access the portal, what documents you need and what your deadlines are. Complete the application with true information and verify that all the data matches your documents.
If you don't understand any questions or requirements, please ask before sending. Delivering everything complete and on time helps avoid observations and delays.
Yes. The sponsor may terminate your participation if you fail to comply with the conditions of the program or its requirements.
Working without authorization, presenting false information or committing a serious infraction are situations that can put your continuity at risk. A termination may affect your immigration status and your departure from the United States, and you should not assume that you will retain the grace period.
Respond to the sponsor's communications and ask any questions in time. If you have a difficulty, please report it for guidance on how to proceed.
Without the approval of the sponsor, you will not be able to continue with the J-1 process on that application. Your advisor will review the reason with you and whether there is any correction or alternative available.
Go Wex accompanies you in the management, but the final decision corresponds to the sponsor and we cannot guarantee its approval or the possibility of processing a new request with another entity.
If you cannot continue, we will explain how to close your process and what refund corresponds, if any, according to the Terms and Conditions accepted when registering.
Go Wex guides you in managing your consular appointment. Your advisor will indicate the steps, documents and payments that you must complete according to the procedure in your country.
Appointment availability and assignment depend on the consular system. Having everything ready helps avoid delays on your part, but it does not ensure a specific date.
Follow your advisor's instructions before creating accounts, duplicating requests or modifying an appointment.
Yes! We will help you organize your documents, understand the procedure and prepare for the consular interview.
To complete the DS-160 you will receive a detailed PDF guide and personalized assistance from your advisor. We will also explain the activities and mock interviews available for your intake.
Visa approval depends exclusively on the consular officer. Our support seeks to ensure that you arrive prepared, with clear information and confidence to explain your plans honestly.
Tell your advisor immediately and share the information they have given you about the result of your application. She will tell you how to continue with the closing of your process.
The decision to approve or reject the visa corresponds exclusively to the consular authority and does not depend on Go Wex.
Any applicable refund will be processed under the Terms and Conditions that you accepted when you registered. Your advisor will explain the applicable amount, the requirements and the procedure to request it.
The base J-1 visa application fee is USD 185. Not set by Go Wex - set by the United States Consular Authority and is subject to change without notice.
This payment is not included in the program fee and is independent of the SEVIS payment and the Go Wex registration fee.
Before paying, confirm with your advisor the amount and current instructions, as well as any additional charges applicable to your case. Payment does not guarantee visa approval.
No, you cannot freely choose a consular interview date. Your appointment is scheduled according to the availability of the consular system and the procedure that corresponds to your request.
Your advisor will guide you on the steps you must follow and the available options, if the system offers them. Keep your documents and payments up to date so you can move forward when appropriate.
The DS-160 is the electronic application form for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa , including the J-1. You provide your personal details and the background information required for your application.
It is different from DS-2019, which is the document issued by the sponsor for your participation in the exchange program.
Before sending it, check that all the information is correct. When finished, save the confirmation page with barcode, as you will need it to continue with the consular process.
You will complete it following a detailed PDF guide, with the personalized assistance from your advisor to answer your questions.
Gather your documents before you begin and carefully review names, document numbers, dates, and background information. If you don't understand a question, ask before answering or submitting the form.
You must verify that all information is true and correct. When finished, save the confirmation page to continue with your process. We will accompany you so that you advance clearly in each step!
Usually yes, but the language and conduct of the interview depend on the consular officer assisting you. They can ask you questions in English, Spanish, or both languages.
At Go Wex we will help you prepare to explain your studies, your plans and your participation in Work and Travel clearly and honestly. If you don't understand a question, you can ask them to repeat it.
Practice in your own words and trust your preparation!
Intern is aimed at students who have completed two-thirds of their degree or graduates who begin the program within 12 months of graduation. Trainee is aimed at graduates with at least one year of related experience, or non-degree holders with five years of experience in their field.
The duration depends on your category, your professional area and the training plan approved by the sponsor. The options we offer start at 3 months. Intern allows up to 12 months; Trainee, up to 18 months in areas that allow it. In Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary, the maximum is 12 months. The duration is agreed before the trip and cannot be chosen independently of the training plan.
Yes. Go Self Arranged allows you to present your own offer related to your professional field. Go Wex can assist the company to specify the Training Plan. In Go Job Arranged you access interviews with Go Wex host companies.
Program fees start at USD 3,000 for Go Job Arranged and USD 2,500 for Go Self Arranged. The final fee depends on the duration. You can find what is included and the additional costs in our program fees section. If you need help choosing a program option, let’s talk!
Yes, it may be possible, but having participated in WAT does not automatically qualify you for IAT. The program must provide new skills and be related to your studies or professional career. Intern is aimed at higher education students or recent graduates. For Trainee you need a higher education degree or certificate and at least one year of related experience outside the United States, or five years of experience in the field outside that country if you do not have that training. We will evaluate your profile and the training plan with the sponsor.
As a reference for the opportunities we manage, we usually evaluate profiles up to 27–28 years old for Intern and up to 35 years old for Trainee. These ages are not a general limit for the J-1 visa nor do they imply an automatic rejection if you exceed them. The evaluation also considers your studies, experience, professional objectives and the criteria of the sponsor and the host company. Contact us to review your case.
No. In the J-1 Intern and Trainee categories you can only carry out the training activities authorized by your sponsor and provided for in your training plan. It is not permitted to have a second job outside of the program.
For reference, the process usually takes between 3 and 4 months from the time you are selected by a host company to the trip. The deadline may vary depending on the delivery of documents, the approval of the sponsor, the availability of consular appointments and the agreed start date.
Possible, but not guaranteed. The main objective of IAT is your professional development. Although the opportunities we offer are paid, recovering your investment depends on the compensation, the duration of the program, the cost of living in the destination, and your spending habits. According to what the participants and former participants with whom we maintain communication have shared with us, they have managed to recover their investment; Their results do not guarantee that the same thing happens in all cases.
It is a program to study a language abroad and practice it in real situations. It combines classes with cultural immersion and allows you to choose a destination, intensity and duration, with options from two weeks.
We work with renowned international schools, including Kaplan, Sprachcaffe, New College Group (NCG) and Alpadia. The availability of each school depends on the destination and the program you choose.
You can choose between different English course alternatives, depending on your level, objectives and program availability. The offer may include general English options, intensive courses and preparation for international exams, according to the school and destination.
What each program includes varies depending on the option chosen. It can include a language course, accommodation and free cultural activities, in addition to other services offered by the school. You can customize it to your liking.
You can find programs of different durations, from experiences of a few weeks to programs of several months. The duration available will depend on the program and the conditions corresponding to the destination.
The requirements depend mainly on the destination, the duration of the program, the type of course and the entry conditions applicable to Peruvian citizens. They may include personal documentation, a valid passport, insurance, financial proof, visa or study permit, among others. As immigration requirements can change, they should always be checked against current regulations before travel.
In some destinations it is possible to work while studying, but it is not a general condition of Study Abroad programs. The possibility of working depends on factors such as the destination, your nationality, the type and duration of the course and the current immigration conditions. Therefore, where appropriate, we will explain to you what possibilities exist and under what conditions.
It is a cultural exchange at a summer camp in the United States, where you can practice English, meet people from other places and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Intermediate to advanced level of English is required. The level may vary depending on the position and the activities that take place in the camp.
The program runs approximately May through August and lasts 8-12 weeks depending on camp and assigned position. You must be available during the entire period required by the camp.
No. The sponsor carries out the selection process and the filter with the camps, considering your profile, experience and skills. Therefore, a specific camp, city or location is not guaranteed.
The camps seek participants with skills they can develop or teach, such as tennis, swimming, ping pong, canoeing and other sports, as well as music, dance, arts and cooking. Having these skills can strengthen your profile.
It is not essential, but having experience with children is a great advantage and can favor your profile during the selection process, especially for positions with greater interaction with them.
Accommodation is provided during participation and, depending on the program, may be within the camp itself or in facilities designated for participants. The conditions depend on each camp.
Yes. The days and times of rest depend on the programming of each camp. Some programs also contemplate a later period for tourism, subject to the corresponding immigration conditions.
